DESCRIPTION: Pierre Le Doux, a Paris, a large, early 20th century reproduction of a Louis XV bracket clock, with 18th century movement, the red hardwood case and bracket with polychrome floral ornament, the bracket with landscape scene featuring a dog at the base of a tree and looking at a bird, and mounted with cast, chased brass naturalistic ornament, roman numeral concave/ convex white enamel dial, pierced and engraved gilt hands, signed brass movement with five baluster pillars and of at least two week duration, with recoil escapement, count wheel striking, and silk thread suspension
CONDITION: surface with crazing, mounts lacking gilding, dirty, dial with hairlines and repairs, minute hand with minor losses to gilding, movement dirty, with tarnish and staining, numerous empty holes in front and back plates, steel components with minor oxide
